Did the DOH (PH) just call teenage moms and dads GAGA and BOBO?!?

Yes. They just did.

The Department of Health (Philippines) has been known for their "Inakup Arekup" informercial about Family planning. That was of taste and has a nice recall onto it. It was simply genius.

Here is its video courtesy of CampaignsandGreyPH

Trying to make use of the influence that they've established, they made another infomercial and now, this is about teenage pregnancy. The intention was nice but the manner on how it was delivered was in bad taste.

Here is my screenshot of their Facebook post before they deleted the video.

The video was entitled "GABO Infomercial" . GABO is the abbreviated Gaga Girl and Bobo Boy as the lyrics of the song goes.

The song started with the lyrics "Gaga girl... Bobo boy..." Repeated for many times.

As the song went on, it said "Di ka naman Gaga Girl...Bobo Boy..." while showing cheerleaders performing stunts.

I was lucky enough to watch the infomercial and take a screen capture of it before it was deleted. It was posted 9:30pm and deleted 2 hours later (11:35pm) on Nov 29, 2014.

It can no longer be found on Facebook and can no longer be played on Youtube.

It's probably because DOH realized how offensive and tactless it was to teenage moms and dads and also to cheerleaders who are stars of the infomercial.

I really don't understand the connection of cheer leading with its advocacy and so as my friends who shared it on their news feeds.

The lyrics were horrible, non-sensical for most parts and insulting for those that made sense. As you can see on my screen capture.
It says...

"Surrender mo ang bandila"

"Ahahay"

The comments section of the video also took the lash of bashers from Facebook accusing DOH of plagiarism but then one of the netizens noticed...

Negative comments were all over the comments section. Noting of how much of a waste the government spent on this kind of infomercial. On the contrary, aside from the flak, some others think that the video was nice.

What can also be noticed from my screen cap is the proportion on views to "likes".

It's crystal on how do the netizens feel about this.

To DOH, may this be the last of its kind. It's truly disappointing. >:(

The country so far yet so near (part.2)

The country so far yet so near (part.2)

Universal Studio japan Of the child-likeness and thrill

universal studio japan is the first top attraction in Osaka and allegedly Visitors to the park the opening year reached 11 million guests, becoming the world’s fastest amusement park to achieve the 10 million milestone at the time. Since then, Universal Studios Japan has had approximately 8 million visitors every year and we were one of them.

what an unnatural poses we have here!!
this picture was taken right after we had gone through the most hassle procedure
to buy tickets.

This is the map showing all of locations of rides, and of course i first stepped to Spider man known as the best ride in universal studio japan.

We couldn't say any word but were totally overwhelmed by the ride applying the four dimensional  high-technology, which stimulated 5 senses that we normally have!!

by striving all effort to join the main theme;harry potter, we finally could enter the Hogwarts castle
i felt as if i was one of students and could spell the magic and those symptoms hovered quite long time....... maybe until now...
anyway this is the best chance to flesh back the moment of the naive childhood!
hope you can take this fortune!!

The country so far yet so near

the country so far yet so near:

traveling in japan

Sushi, Natto, Okonomiyaki, Udon, Katsudon,Tokyo tower,Kabuki,Fuji mountain, and animation
so neat,so creative,so disciplined,so cleaned and so serene
my journey just started out of my dream that i've conceived since i was a young child watching lots of animations while growing up.

Luffy's hat (one piece) in Universal studio japan

With a huge expectation to grant My motto "TO SEE IS TO BELIEVE" and
to make my mother happy for having me as a financially? considerate and lovely son, my mother and i were able to get japan by light steps.

the first scene spread out to catch our attention and open our jaw(aside from trite views of air port) was  the place 'Dotonbori' known as the most attractive main street.

Dotonbori

since, as a person who doesn't usually go for the crowd it was totally a dazzling melting pot!!!! Were Not only Japanese  But also different people from different countries occupying  every space to stand as overstated haha!
one of the the mandatory courses to go through in this place is taking a picture having same posture of the man on the billboard'

But i didn't!! SO... next time nalang...

A loaf of bread is better than the song of many birds!!
we had to comfort our hunger first before enjoying the views in Osaka.
having a well-planning son for the trip, my mother could experience
the best Okonomiyaki in the world(i can defend that sentence since the origin city
of Okonomiyaki is from Osaka!! and Chibo restaurant is widely known as boasting the longest history of it as well)

This was the time to prove that hand is faster than the eye and the cooks were a master-chief perfectly trained through astronomically uncountable number of visitors. so no need to even describe about the taste of the food.

and finally after the longest but the greatest span of time for the day in term of distance and experiences, we went back to our accommodation and were able to call it a first day with winsome smile.

To be continued.....

A Night to Dance

Do you enjoy dancing? How about ballroom dancing? Savannah Moon Restaurant and Ballroom Club is a good place to go for ballroom. You can enjoy today’s song hits with their ballroom dance remix. What I like about the place is that it is very classy. As you enter the venue it gives you an early Christmas vibe. It is really good for the evening event I went to.

It is my Grandfather’s sister’s 90th birthday. It is a good choice for the event. Everybody enjoyed the dance floor as good and talented dance instructors sway with the music.

It is not just a place for men and women over fifties; I too can dance along with them but I swear I am not a good dancer so I didn't get to dance. But I really enjoyed being there as I see them swaying.

I am really close to my grandfather so I accompany him to this event. I love him so much and he is still very strong at the age of 88. He didn’t want to dance so I didn't get to see him sway!

The food is nice starting with their Pancit Canton that really is a Filipino favourite. What I like the most for the food is the shrimp roll with sesame seeds. Its flavour is a good combination to their sweet and sour sauce.

Lechon! Even most are over fifty it is still part of the menu ;)

With my family! <3

Curly Adventures

Looking for an inexpensive adventure? If yes, hiking is good for you! Hiking is inexpensive and easy to start, so you can participate no matter how fit you are. It is also accessible. You do not have to go far if you want an adventure. Actually, Batangas is a very good place to hike. It is a home to numerous mountain ranges with picturesque views on top! With less than a thousand bucks, you are good to go! Just bring snacks, 2 liters of water and packed lunch. Fare is not that expensive since Batangas is very near to Manila.

Travelling has been my bonding time with my girlfriend. I took that literally because it really strengthens our bond. What more can bind two people together than going on buwis buhay trips? Of all those trips, a day hike would be so much easy to plan and execute. We, actually, had four climbs in 8 months. This one is our third climb which took place last October 6. The mountain is called Mt. Maculot/Rockies. Now you know why the title is like that :)

Mt. Maculot is located at Cuenca, Batangas. We left the house at 6 in the morning and met at 7am in JAM liner station in Buendia. Bus left 8am and we arrived in the jump off at about 9:30 in the morning. We met friends there and we decided to get only one tour guide and split the payment.

We got 5 guys in our team...

And 3 pretty ladies in grey.

Buwis buhay couple in their fighting pose.

We spent almost 3 hours on our way to the campsite due to a lot of resting time and stopovers. I'm not blaming our co-hikers but my girlfriend and I do not really rest that much for we want to get to the top as soon as possible. From the campsite, it took us more or less 20 minutes to the top. Mt. Maculot is also called Mt. Rockies because it really is rocky on the way to the summit.

We are at our first checkpoint. Not that tired like our other two companions :)

Stopped to take a rest...or more like a selfie with this bigass rock.

My girlfriend with our tour guide pointing at something.

It's really scary down there but first...let us take a selfie.

...and another one.

From the summit, I still want to reach the cool part.

And so is she. Hahaha! #inggitera

Then we had our cool pictures!

Behind these buwis buhay pictures is of course, a feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction. We climb not only for those scenic views but also for that feeling. Sometimes, you need to search for that feeling....the feeling of being alive.

The smiles of success!

My number is 14four!

Where would you enjoy a night? Is it at home? Watching movies or reading books? Or just simply munching on your favorite snack and reflect on life? Been there, done that!

This place I found just around Taytay is a nice garden restaurant. It is not easy to find at night but is such a good place to appreciate trendy designs enhanced by good decorative lights.

The place is a venue open for shoots, seminars or any event. You can actually rent the place!

It is a place I wish I have at home so I can relax and study almost anywhere. It is a good place to go to with friends. Well, you can even go here for a date! The environment is so nice given that it is a home; it gives you a warm feeling being in the place.

I can really feel that Christmas is coming! :3

It is a nice example for recreating your place to something that is good to chill out. The garden is nice but my photos are not good. When we went here there were people who were using the function room so I didn’t get to take pictures inside.

What I like about the place is the feeling of being at home that makes it very comfortable to eat. I had dinner here with my family and it is a good place to share moments with the people whom you feel very close to. I believe it looks more beautiful in the morning.

This tree is nicely decorated with different cloths in different patterns and colors. It is a good project I like to do at home!

Regarding the food, there are only limited choices.

Country Fried Chicken (Php250)

The gravy is different from the usual gravy because it is creamy and buttery complimented by rosemary. This kind of dish doesn't come with rice but with creamy mashed potatoes. This is good for two if you would want to order rice. ;)

14 four TAPA (Php 210)

Very sweet! Just like the usual breakfast tapa we have. It comes with a garlic rice and a fried egg.

Red Wine Beef Stew (Php 340)

Beef and red wine! This can be complemented by patis, that’s what my Dad said. HAHA. It has a distinct flavor given that it has wine. Very yummy!

Chicken Margherita (Php 230)

They have pancakes and cats in the house!
Pancakes ranging from Php150- Php 190
Plus cutie cats who loves to give you an “elevator butt” pose.
