BUFFET AT CHEF LAUDICO GUEVARRA’S ★★★

My friends and I decided to have an early buffet dinner in Chef Laudico Guevarra's, a home-turned-restaurant. Its ambience made us feel as if we were in the 1920 era. It offers a buffet of sumptuous Filipino dishes made by Chef Laudico.

Surprisingly, a selection of desserts was the first to welcome us in the buffet table. It offers an abundant selection of sweets such as custard, rice balls, chocolate-flavored rice, banoffee tart, candied bananas and ice cream with a lot of different sprinkles .

Moving on, next in line were the appetizers. The classic pandesal fresh sardines with spicy greets us along with its various homemade dressings.

It was followed by none other than the main course. I was really overwhelmed because of the many choices. I did not want to have any leftovers, so I only take enough food for one serving and just return to the buffet table if I wanted more . I really enjoyed the pork-tender Angus Kare-Kare. Packed with choice meat bursting with flavor, one could only speculate that this is no doubt, one of their specialties.

The two courses that follow the main course were my favorite. These are the hot and grilled, and carvings. These stations were full of scrumptious roasts like the feast-favorite, lechon.

While we were eating, we saw birthday celebrants being serenaded by the waiters.

Because of this, we pretended that one of our friends is celebrating her birthday so we asked the waiters to serenade her too. Unaware of our scheme, our friend had no idea what was happening and why. And so it caused us to burst into tremendous laughter.

We ended the night laughing our hearts out as we could not contain our joy. It was an undeniably great night and we really enjoyed the feast of sumptuous dinner in Chef Laudico Guevara's.
