Kuya J

Another restaurant with Filipino cuisine that you'll surely love. It opened recently at SM City Marikina, and without any second thoughts I tried its Filipino food.

Kuya J restaurant has large variety of choices, very affordable prices and lets you enjoy a good dining experience with your family and friends.

I am not really into Filipino food, so I am picky when it comes to it.

Calamares

For our appetizer, we ordered their big calamares with tartar sauce.

Dinuguan
I've tasted a lot of Dinuguan dishes, but the one from Kuya J stands out. The serving size was just right, with just enough meat and a lot of sauce. The sauce was very tasty and the meat was juicy.

Sizzling sisig
The sisig was not like your regular sisig which is full of fat, it was very meaty for sisig. As we ordered it, they informed us that their sisig is very spicy because of the red chili so we requested them to separate the chili from the sisig so that it wouldn't be so spicy.

Mango shake
We also ordered Mango shake because we noticed that most of the customers have it on their table while others had fresh buko juice. The mango shake looked more enticing so we ordered it instead of the buko juice. The Mango shake came in a jar and it tastes really fresh and good.

Leche flan

For the dessert, I tried their bestseller, the Leche Flan. When I tasted it, I myself had no doubts why it's their bestseller because of the creaminess and milky taste of their Leche Flan. It's a very good choice to end our lunch!

I truly recommend Kuya J for folks out there who are looking for an affordable Filipino restaurant.  Whenever you crave for some Filipino food, you can't go wrong with Kuya J's menu!
