Let's Eat! ~Kung Fu Style~

Subic has basically been the main 'pasyalan' of our family. We would usually go there during special occasions or whenever we feel like it. And every time we go there, we always make it a point to stop by Harbor Point Mall to eat.

As we were looking for a place to eat at Harbor Point the week before Halloween this year, we stumbled upon Kung Fu Kitchen. The restaurant first opened last April 2014. What caught our attention first was the design of the place. The glass door walls were decorated with webs and pumpkins (since it was Halloween during that time).

They even had an aquarium so this just shows that the fish that they serve here are fresh.

The price of the food seems reasonable and the food, itself, looks good that's why we ended up choosing this place instead of other restaurants inside the mall.

We each ordered our own food.

After seeing the fish in the aquarium, we were enticed to order their Lapu-lapu which was P165 per 100 grams. At first, the waiter said that their Lapu-lapu weighs around 500 grams so we decided to give it a try. However, he told us later that he made a mistake and the only available Lapu-lapu weighs over 700 grams!! There was nothing that we could do since they have already cooked the fish. In the end, it costed us almost half of our total bill.
Here it is..

Apparently, there was a set meal which was called Buddha Meal that we did not see when we were ordering our food. We should have ordered this instead.

All in all, our experience here was not the best, but it certainly was not the  worst, either. The strongest point in this restaurant, for me, was the service. Sure, the staffs made a few mistakes but they remained really polite and we could really see that they tried to give us the best service that they could offer.

Kung Fu Kitchen also has branches in Manila (located at the 4th floor of SM City Manila, Conception cor. Arroceros and San Marcelino Streets, Manila), Imus (located at Unit 111, Ground Level, Promenade, Imus), and Baguio (located at Technohub, Camp John Hay, Baguio City).
