1.) Known as the major cultural center of the Chinese Filipino commmunty, Seng Guan Temple is a prominent Buddhist edifice. It is located near Divisoria in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. It is said to contain a stupa, a huge repository for urns of human ashes, several meditation rooms, and various shrines.
This will welcome you once you enter the temple. |
This is one of their meditation rooms. |
We were even taught how they worship (step by step).
These awesome carvings were carved on the walls of the meditation room. |
The biggest Buddha I've seen so far. |
Chinese Filipinos worshiping Buddha. |
And of course, their visiting Buddha won't be complete without an offer (sampaguita flowers). |
3.) Last but not the least, the Bahá'í Faith. The Bahá'í Faith in the Philippines is a community of Filipinos, who like their fellow Bahá'ís living in other parts of the world, view the world's major religions as a part of a single, progressive process through which God reveals His will to humanity. I honestly didn't know about the Bahá'í Faith but thanks to my Philosophy class I was got the opportunity to meet our Bahá'í Faith brothers and sisters. However, I was quite intrigued with their beliefs and teachings.
