Touchdown Davao

 Touchdown Davao (Part I)

When we landed at Davao International Airport, a bus was waiting to pick us up and bring us to one of the gorgeous resort in the city - Waterfront Insular Hotel. At the entrance you would see a huge Philippine Eagle statue, that depicts the culture within the region. Here are some photos of the interior of the hotel.

On our first tour, we went to Davao Crocodile Park. It is my first time to see crocodiles that close and it was kinda creepy. Looking around, there were children on tour and I was amazed that at their young age, fear is not visible but rather curiosity in their eyes. Unfortunately, we only managed to take some few photos.

Next stop is the market! Davao is known for its local fruit, durian.  It was fun challenging others to hold the fruit barehand in one minute!
