Last November 7-10, my uncle's family and I went to Hong Kong. Being outside the country for the first time, i was really excited. All the butterflies in my stomach are bursting their emotions within myself.
Due to our delayed flight, we arrived at Hong Kong International Airport at around 10:00 PM and grabbed some dinner at the airport restaurant. (i forgot the name of the place but i think it was beside the Mcdonald's). We took a cab to our hostel. and man the cab was expensive. I missed the Philippines already when i saw how much we will pay for the ride (250HKD x 2 cab). When we arrived, it was raining quite hard so we just stayed at the hotel for the night.
The plan from the beginning was Hong Kong Disneyland on Saturday then shopping at Tsim Cha Tsui District + Night Market on Sunday but due to the bad weather, we moved our Disneyland trip to Sunday and just stayed at The World Cruise Ship + Harbour City Tour on Saturday.
We didn't do much on the first day (I'm blaming the rain). I still had fun touring Harbour City and the street of Tsim Cha Tsui even if there are little drizzle. What I like about Hong Kong is that it is cold. Not the type of cold that you can see your breath but an okay type of cold.

The Harbour City mall was a weird kind of mall. You can go in even if it closed (the stores are closed but the mall is open). There is also a free Wi-Fi inside. It is a very high-end mall. You can find Aeropostale, Adidas, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and other big brand products. Being a Ghibli / Hayao Miyazaki fan, I was surprised to see Totoro inside Harbour City. The name of the shop is Donguri Republic. I bought Totoro keychains and handkerchiefs.

While taking a rest at some coffee shop, some people asked me if i want to take a photo in their American Eagle Outfitter booth inside the Harbour City. It was an instant photo so might as well say yes.

We went back to our Hotel around 12 midnight and the streets are still lively. This sums up our day 1.
Thankfully, our Sunday was blessed with a fine weather so we had a great time at Hong Kong Disneyland. I was really brave to wear shorts and a T-shirt with the cold weather. We rode the MTR and man it was a tourist friendly ride and hassle-free. Kudos to their transportation management. Their MTR is well ventilated and is spacious. Going to Disneyland is easy as pie and you won't get lost because they announce the stops and if the station is an intersection station.

And at last! we have reached Hong Kong Disneyland and maaaaaaan we were so early. Entering Disneyland was a dream come true. Ever since i was a kid, i really wanted to go here so i was really thankful to Uncle for tagging me along in their family trip.
Being kid at heart, I was pretty pumped up to try different rides. Even if i am a baby-sitter for the weekend, i really didn't mind. Taking care of my cousin while having fun at Disneyland, what more could i ask for?

Upon entering Disneyland, we saw Mickey Mouse at a center gazebo and we fall in line to have a picture with him. I felt i was turned into a little girl fangirling on Mickey Mouse. And look at my shirt, it seems little Minnie is jealous. Don't worry Minnie, I won't take away Mickey from you.
Tomorrowland was our first stop. We also had our lunch here (Star Diner). This is where you can find my favorite ride in Disneyland: Space Mountain. It is a roller coaster ride with a twist. Your surrounding is all black and they project stars, planet, galaxy. You don't know if you are going up or down or left or right. Fun, isn't it? Every turn is a surprise for me and that's why i like it.

We went to Fantasyland after and rode Dumbo: The Flying Elephant and watched Philhar Magic.

Philhar Magic was a classic. It was a very interactive show and i was amazed to smell the food and feel the water. Donald was really funny like he is always.
I enjoyed the Toy Story land because two rides in that "land" is kinda not for kids: The RC Racer and the Soldier thingy. I kinda remember Anchor's Away from Enchanted Kingdom.

Next stop was Mystic Point. I never really paid attention to this because i thought it was just a random "land" and nothing special. Being inside Mystic Manor, i though it was just a museum and no rides at all. I couldn't be so wrong. It was a diamond in disguise and one of the best ride in Disneyland.

2nd to the last stop was the Grizzly Gulch. It was a normal roller coaster ride. The Bear-shaped mountain was kinda cute though. Our last stop was the The Lion King Show at the Adventure land. The fire dance was epic.
It was really sad that we didn't saw the fireworks display because we need to go to The World at around 8:00 pm due to circumstances.

That sums our Hong Kong trip. It was kinda sad that we didn't saw the fireworks display and the Night Market. Till we meet again Hong Kong!
